Mr. Charles Forbus
and his wife, Patricia, moved to Huntsville in 2004 after a 27-month tour with the U.S. Peace Corps in one of the former Soviet Union countries, Ukraine. Charles grew up in Dallas and entered the U. S. Air Force immediately after high school where he served on active duty for four years as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Defense Command. After retiring from AT&T, Charles went back to college and pursued a double major in history and geography, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University. He and Patricia have three sons and six daughters and, at last count, twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
