Huntsville Public Library Board
Purpose
The Library Board of the City of Huntsville was created in 1966 with the responsibilities which are outlined in Chapter 11A of the City's Code of Ordinances. Each member of the six member board must have been a resident of the City of Huntsville for at least one year prior to appointment. Members serve a three year term and may serve a maximum of two terms. The Library Board is charged with encouraging development of the public library and with recommending to City Council policies and programs for the advancement of the library.
