City Secretary

Our purpose

The purpose of the Office of City Secretary is to provide support, assistance and information to the City Council so that they have the resources they need to make decisions; to preserve City documents so that the City Council, City employees, and Citizens of Huntsville have timely and convenient access to City records and may stay informed; and to provide election services to voters and candidates so that they may be involved in the decision making process.

Background Information

Stephanie Brim is a recent graduate of Sam Houston State University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science. Stephanie, native of Florida and veteran of the U.S. Army, has served the City of Huntsville since 2001, in positions ranging from Assistant/Deputy City Secretary, to Assistant to City Manager, to Director of Community Services, to her current appointment as City Secretary in November 2007. She is a Certified Public Manager and Texas Registered Municipal Clerk.
