Our purpose

The purpose of the Municipal Court is to provide a forum for citizens to be heard in a professional and courteous environment in matters related to Class “C” offenses filed with in the city limits of the City of Huntsville so that the law may be administered in a fair and efficient manner.

Description of our services

The Municipal Court provides administrative support for the City of Huntsville’s municipal court proceedings. The Municipal Court is responsible for the collection of fines, fees, and State costs: filing citations/complaints; court scheduling; issuing, tracking, and clearing warrants; maintaining court records and reporting collection, conviction, and statistical data to the appropriate State agencies.
