Passport acceptance office

The City of Huntsville acts only as a passport acceptance facility on behalf of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs. Passport applications and documents submitted are the property of the Federal Government. All documents are mailed out from the City's Acceptance Office each business day after 4:00 p.m. The City of Huntsville does not make the final decision for passport issuance. If the Passport Agency finds any discrepancies with your application or submitted documents after it has been mailed in, the Passport Agency, not the City of Huntsville, will notify you either by telephone or by letter. You will need to follow the instructions that they provide. Passport Fees are non-refundable and subject to change.

NOTICE
Effective July 31, 2008 the City of Huntsville will no longer be processing/accepting passport applications.  As of 07/28/08 the City of Huntsville Passport facility does not have anymore passport appointments available.

This location is by appointment only, please call to schedule.   When making an appointment please keep in mind that an appointment must be made for each application. Generally an appointment can take 15-20 minutes, this is if the application is complete upon arrival. (You may download applications from the U.S. Department of State website by clicking on the "Applications/Forms" link on the right hand side of the page or by dropping by our office to pick them up.)
