Trash disposal information
The City of Huntsville Solid Waste Disposal Facility accepts self haul waste and is located at 590 IH 45 North. Facility hours and directions are provided on the right hand side of the page.
The rate for disposal of garbage and trash is $60.65 per ton with a minimum
charge of $5.00. To calculate disposal charges, customers must drive through
the scales to weigh in and weigh out.
Fees
Minimum Fee $5.00
White Goods/Large Furniture $60.65/ton
Tires, small (i.e. car or pickup truck) $2.00/tire
Tires, large (i.e. semi-truck) $13.20/tire
Large dead animal (i.e. cow, horse) $60.65/ton (plus $10.00 handling charge)
Small dead animal (i.e. dog, cat) $5.00/animal
Trees, stumps, limbs $60.65/ton
Holiday schedule
The Solid Waste Disposal Facility is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
