Nonprofit Grant Program

The City of Huntsville has been awarded a nonprofit grant by the ARPA from the Department of Treasury. 

With a total of $100,000, nonprofits can receive up to $10,000 per organization. 

Apply by August 21, 2023 by 5:00pm

Eligible nonprofits can apply for grant awards up to $10,000. Awards will be based upon nonprofits historical and current programmatic need, and priority will be given to those that have continued to experience and demonstrated COVID-19 related changes. In order to receive consideration for an award, the recipient nonprofit must meet eligibility criteria below:

The organization must have been in existence in the City of Huntsville for at least 3 years

Be in good standing with the IRS, Texas Secretary of State and Texas Controller of Public Accounts

Must provide proof of active nonprofit designation status according to IRS

Must be able to demonstrate financial impact directly related to COVID-19:

Showing evidence of organizations increased need to expand staffing or financial capacity to provide more community based services to public

Provide financial evidence of organizations loss of revenue derived from or related to government mandated shutdowns after Jan 27, 2020
