Spring Break at Huntsville Public Library

We invite you to join us for our "Luau at the Library" held during Spring Break, the week of March 11th - 15th. A week of exciting and fun activities for the entire family. Registration is open for events held Monday - Thursday. See you at the Library!

Monday, March 11: Sand Art Craft

Nothing feels more like the beach than playing in the sand! Come enjoy a sand art craft from 1 to 2 p.m. where we talk about the beach and sea animals! No sunblock needed for this fun, beach-themed activity. 

Tuesday, March 12: Tiki Necklace Craft

Come create a Tiki Necklace using wooden beads and recycled art materials. You can choose your colors and designs! Special prize given for children who wear their DIY Tiki Necklace again at Friday’s “Luau at the Library” Party! Come get your tropical vibe on from 1 to 2 p.m. 

Wednesday, March 13: Beach Pudding Snack

Enjoy a yummy sweet treat making “Beach Pudding Snack.” This activity is fun to make, but even better to eat! All aspiring chefs should be at the library from 1 to 2 p.m. Please note that this treat will contain dairy and gluten foods. 

Thursday, March 14: Ocean in a Bottle Craft

Create your own ‘Ocean in a Bottle’ while combining science and art in this sensory bottle craft from 1 to 2 p.m. You will be able to fill your bottle with glitter, sea creatures, shells, and more! Adults are welcome to participate as well!

Friday, March 15: Luau Party

Aloha! You are invited to celebrate Spring Break with us at our “Luau at the Library” from 1 to 3 p.m. We will have an indoor bouncy house, Kona Ice Shaved Ice, live ukulele music, salty and sweet snacks, face painting, a photo booth, and lots of Luau party games! Come enjoy this free, family event, and wear your tropical clothes for an extra prize! A huge thank you to the Friends of the Huntsville Public Library for their generous sponsorship support.
