Services

Animal Control provides a variety of services including:
  • Animal bite investigations
  • Removal of dead animals from roadways and public property
  • Removal of stray animals
Animal Control also serves as the local rabies authority and works to enforce animal-related ordinances to promote a safe and healthy community.


Contact

The Animal Control Officer works Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. During business hours, you may request animal control services by contacting the police department at 936-291-5480.

For after-hours animal emergencies, animal bites, or animal noise complaints, contact the police dispatcher at 936-435-8001. Police patrol officers will handle the situation and / or determine the need to call out the Animal Control Officer.

Nuisance Wildlife in Texas

Many of the nuisance wildlife in Texas are addressed on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.

Call Animal Control at 936-291-5480 to report any animal bites, including from wildlife. 

Direct contact with wildlife should be avoided at all times. For trapping and removal of nuisance wildlife, please contact a professional pest control service.
