Received a guitar as a gift and just haven’t had the time to start learning how to play? Bought one a while back and just can’t bring yourself to get started playing? Huntsville Public Library is now offering free beginner guitar lessons twice a month on the first and third Friday from 5 - 6 p.m. During May the classes will take place on May 6 and May 20. These classes will cover the parts of the guitar, strumming, how to use a guitar pick, and basic open-position chords. Lesson plans can be adjusted to accommodate more intermediate players. Participants must complete the online registration at myhuntsvillelibrary.com and bring their own guitar and pick to the class.
