[ARCHIVED] Holiday program at HPL

12Days_SMGraphic

"The Twelve Days of Christmas" is an English Christmas carol that enumerates in the manner of a cumulative song a series of increasingly numerous gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas, starting with Christmas Day.

The Huntsville Public Library invites you to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas. Visit the library to request a free take-home kit to learn about how other countries and cultures celebrate this special time of year.

Each kit contains recipes, activities, and educational resources for a country.  Participants are invited to share pictures of their activities from the kit on the library’s Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook page.

Notably, a time for celebration, the Twelve Days of Christmas begins on December 25 and ends on January 6, and every day something different is celebrated.   Kits are only available while supplies last and are limited to one per household. For more information, please contact Children’s Coordinator Baillie Pretzer at 936-291-5910.
