Beginning Tuesday, May 30, 2017, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will start a mill and inlay project on FM 247 (University Drive/Avenue M) in Huntsville. The contractor will remove the driving surface of the roadway and replace it with new asphalt, striping, and reflective pavement markers. This project runs from FM 980 to US 190 (11th Street) in Huntsville.
TxDOT’s contractor will close one lane on FM 247 and will use flaggers and a pilot car to move traffic through the work area. All lanes of work will be open by the end of each work day.
This $474,154.44 project is contracted to Big Creek Construction based out of Hewitt, Texas. This project should be complete in approximately one month, weather depending.
