In anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Harvey, the City of Huntsville's Public Works Director, Daryl Uptmore, has announced the following Solid Waste schedule change.
The City's Transfer Station and Recycling Center will be closed to the general public tomorrow, Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Walker County Office of Emergency Management 936-435-8035, including calls to Public Works for debris or downed trees.
At this time, there are no changes to Solid Waste Residential or Commercial Service for Monday, August 28, 2017, and no closures for next week have been announced. Please follow the City's website and social media through the weekend for updates. The City recommends storing your garbage and recycling bins safely through the weekend and not putting out your cans on Monday before 6:00 a.m., so that they are not washed or blown away.
