The City of Huntsville would like to recognize the many citizens and area residents who made such a difference during Hurricane Harvey.
The City of Huntsville would like to recognize the many citizens and area residents who made such a difference during Hurricane Harvey. Many were doing their jobs or responding through formal arrangements, but as many or more were simply moved to step up and help. All deserve sincere appreciation for their efforts.
Join the Huntsville City Council and the community at City Hall (1212 Avenue M) at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, to share gratitude and recognition for emergency management staff, law enforcement/first responders, crews who made repairs/worked at the shelters/provided food service/cared for animals, utility workers, coordinators, activated National Guard, drivers, volunteers of all kinds (including those who went to help in Houston for rescues and for recovery), and donors.
Please share this message throughout your organization and with your neighbors. All are welcome! Visit our Facebook event page at http://bit.ly/2xjFyn9 to share pictures from Hurricane Harvey, we will showcase images of neighbors helping neighbors during the event.
