HPD has added three new police officers to the ranks.
City of Huntsville Director of Public Safety, Police Chief Kevin P. Lunsford, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new police officers to the ranks of the Huntsville Police Department.Officers Dylan Guadalupe and Dakota Green graduated from the City of Conroe’s Police Academy and were sworn in as Huntsville Police Officers on February 22. Guadalupe and Green spent a grueling 26 weeks at the academy learning all aspects of law enforcement, from state and federal laws to police emergency driving. Officer Guadalupe was recognized with awards as the academy’s Top Academic Cadet and the Top Physically Fit Cadet. Officer Lucas Cowl started his law enforcement career with the Sam Houston State University Police Department, before joining the Huntsville Police Department on February 26. Officer Cowl worked side by side with Huntsville officers during his three-year career with the university.All three officers must successfully complete the Huntsville Police Department’s sixteen-week Field Training Program before being released to duty.
