Applications for nomination to advisory committee are being accepted.
The City of Huntsville is now accepting applications for a new volunteer Master Planning Advisory Committee (MPAC) for the Bruce Brothers Regional Airport’s Master Plan.
The MPAC will help coordinate each phase of the airport’s operations. Citizens representing all areas of the community are needed, including local officials, existing and potential airport tenants, existing and potential aviation users, local businesspeople, and community leaders and residents.
Interim City Manager Aron Kulhavy said the members of the MPAC don’t necessarily need be to experts in aviation.
Bruce Brothers Regional Airport in Huntsville is a general aviation airport with a 5,000-foot runway and full-service terminal, to access surrounding communities in Walker County.
The committee is expected to meet over an eight- to twelve-month period and is anticipated to meet on a monthly basis.
“If you believe you can bring an openness and willingness to serve the community towards a better tomorrow, then this just might be the committee for you,” Kulhavy said.
