The Texas Department of Transportation's (TxDOT) contractor will place a surface treatment on Highway 75 through Huntsville beginning Thursday, due to rain. The contractor will have alternating lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night to perform this work. The contractor will continue work on Highway 75 from Highway 19 to the Montgomery County Line, during daylight hours.The contractor will resurface Highway 75 from FM 2821 to Highway 30/US 190 (11th Street), and on Highway 75 (Sam Houston Avenue) from Highway 30/US 190 (11th Street) to Highway 19.The surface treatment will be the full roadway width including on-street parking. TxDOT would like to remind everyone to obey all warning signs, watch for workers and equipment, buckle up and drive safely.This work is part of a $2.3 million dollar district wide hot rubber surface treatment project contracted to Cox Paving of Texas, Inc. out of Blanco, TX.
