The Huntsville Public Library will be hosting the Houston Museum of Natural Science Discovery Dome from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4th.
The Discovery Dome is a portable full-dome theater surrounding visitors with roaring dinosaurs, soaring spaceships, raging rivers and monster storms— all immersive, engaging and realistic. Developed by the Museum and Rice University, this new dome theater offers a state-of-the-art visual learning experience.
The 12 foot by 20 foot inflatable dome will be available in the Community Room of the Library.
“We are excited to host the Discovery Dome at the Library,” Assistant Librarian Anne Sparks said. “This is an opportunity for kids to come explore without having to travel a long distance to the museum.” The public is invited to the free event.
“Each presentation is 30 minutes,” Sparks said. “While you are waiting between shows, we have plenty of books, magazine and more.”
