The City of Huntsville invites you to join in the Fourth of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4, in the celebration of Independence Day with family entertainment and a large-scale firework show.
Interim Parks and Leisure Director Penny Joiner said residents can begin their 4th of July Celebration at the Huntsville Aquatic Center. The pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission. She added that the concession stand will be open, however, outside coolers are not permitted.
"After you finish splashing around, make your way to Kate Barr Ross Park! Family Fun begins at 4 p.m.," Joiner said. "Activities include face painting, leatherworking, an airbrush artist, a balloon artist, bounce houses, a rock wall and more."
Joiner added that once the family fun portion of the event wraps up at 8 p.m., citizens are invited to find a favorite spot in the park and get ready to watch the amazing fireworks display at dark.
Personal coolers are allowed in the park; no glass bottles are allowed. Visitors are not allowed to bring or set off fireworks in the park.
