Are You Prepared Now?

At the September 5 City Council meeting, Mayor Andy Brauninger proclaimed National Preparedness Month. This month, take time to reflect on the recent events of Hurricane Harvey, build your “go-bag,” and keep extra supplies around the house, just in case. Check out the special Disaster Preparedness issue of This Week in Huntsville at http://huntsvilletx.gov/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/507.

The City also wants to use this month to brag on the tremendous efforts that City staff and local partners showed during Hurricane Harvey. We commend them for working long hours under tough conditions, all to assist Home Sweet Huntsville. Thank you to all who helped during Harvey, you make Huntsville a great place to live.

The City urges you to visit at www.Ready.gov and www.HuntsvilleTx.gov/ReadyHuntsville to find tips on preparing you and your family in the event of an emergency.
