  1. Sittercise

    Get fit while you sit with Sittercise! Everybody’s favorite exercise program is being offered from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Huntsville Public Library in conjunction with Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Classes begin Tuesday, May 11. Sittercise is designed to help those who are aging and/or dealing with chronic illnesses. Sittercise focuses on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and overall improved function. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor. The class is free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Class is limited to 25 so social distancing can be maintained.

  2. Book Club

    Be part of the book club at Huntsville Public Library. All interested persons are welcome to join virtually or in person. The in-person meeting will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Staggs Community Room at the library on July 8. The virtual meeting will take place at the same time via Zoom. Current and future book choices can be found on the library website at myhuntsvillelibrary.com. Book Clubs are an excellent way to enjoy books, challenge one’s mind, and socialize with other book lovers! They can also encourage one to read more often or read books one might not otherwise choose. We have fun reading a wide variety of books, making friends, meeting like-minded people, and stimulating the brain cells!

  3. Beginner Microsoft Excel Classes

    Need a way to keep track of your schedule or budget? Have you been meaning to learn Microsoft Excel but don’t know where to start? Learn how to organize your data by attending Huntsville Public Library’s free Microsoft Excel classes for beginners. Classes will be offered from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and 5 p.m.to 6 p.m. on Thursdays starting Tuesday, September 2 in the Monday Computer Room. Topics to be covered will include making a new file, data entry, cell formatting, formulas, and manipulating a finished table. Adults 18 years and older can register for classes.
