  1. Free Basic Computer Classes

    Want to get more comfortable with computers or update your skills? If so, we are offering Free Basic Computer Classes at the Huntsville Public Library. Classes will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursdays in March. These classes will discuss using the mouse, typing, emailing, and Internet browsing. A library card is needed to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID. This program is best suited for ages 18 and up.

    Come by and play with us! We’ll have lots of activities for you to engage with, including Legos, grown-up coloring books, karaoke, and craft stations. This program will be held every Monday from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Huntsville Public Library’s Staggs Community Room. March dates are March 6, 13, 20, and 27. This program is suggested for ages 5-12.

    Come to Story Time, a fun early literacy program for kids six and under at Huntsville Public Library. Join us for interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The early literacy practices featured each week help build a foundation for the lifelong love of reading and learning. For parents and caregivers, Story Time offers an opportunity to experience early literacy strategies in action, discover great books and resources for home use, and socialize with other parents afterward. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions all share a theme with something new and exciting each week. Sign up is not required. Story Time is held Mondays at 5:30 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:45 a.m. in the Staggs Community Room.
