MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of the Huntsville Main Street Program is to promote and support the revitalization and economic growth of downtown Huntsville by preserving its historic character, enhancing the aesthetic appeal, and fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. The program seeks to create a thriving downtown district that is a destination for residents, visitors, and businesses, contributing to the overall quality of life in Huntsville

If you want to unearth one-of-a-kind treasures or for some delicious food, look no further than downtown Huntsville. With an abundance of antique and boutique stores, restaurants, and entertainment experiences, there’s plenty to see, do, and taste. Downtown Huntsville hosts some of the most significant annual events, including Fair-on-the-Square, Wine Down Shop Small, and the Christmas Fair. Discover the fantastic architectural murals of New York-based artist Richard Haas! In collaboration with architect Kim Williams of Austin, Texas, they have created a unique faux ruin and restored/embellished two theater facades, the County courthouse, and multiple storefronts in the Downtown area – truly inspiring sights to behold.

Huntsville First is a campaign encouraging local residents and businesses to take ownership of our community by choosing to shop, eat, and play locally before traveling to neighboring cities. When we choose to spend our time and money locally, we are reinvesting in our community!
