The City of Huntsville has been impacted by a severe weather event. The event has effected about an area of roughly 5 square miles. This area has been affected with major power line damage as well as many down trees. There are other areas of the City that have experienced some minor damage as well. Huntsville Fire, Walker County, Emergency Management, Texas Forest Service,  Public works crews are on scene conducting damage assessments and clearing roads. Customers may experience overnight power outages.
