[ARCHIVED] MLB Pitch Hit & Run set for end of month

MLB Pitch Hit & Run

The City of Huntsville’s Parks & Leisure Department will host a FREE Scotts® Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit & Run™ Competition for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Kate Barr Ross Park.

Pitch Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball.  This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills.  The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each division age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of competition.

All participants must bring a copy of a valid birth document for age verification and have their parent or guardian complete the registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. Online registration at https://pitchhitrun.leagueapps.com/events/964204 is recommended.  For questions concerning the competition, please contact your Local Coordinator, Penny Joiner at (936) 294-5708.
