Vicki McKenzie was born and lived in Houston until she was fourteen when her family relocated to Montgomery County. She graduated what is now the Woodlands High School and attended Lone Star College at North Harris. During her time there, she discovered her passion and has thoroughly enjoyed her career in retail merchandising for over 30 years.
Vicki and her husband, Corby met in 2015. Together they have been blessed with 5 amazing children and two grand-babies that have taken their hearts captive. Her idea of a perfect day is when all of her family can spend time together. Vicki has made it a priority to spend time with her growing family. The McKenzie's moved to Huntsville in 2018.
Vicki finds her passion to serve the community from her Granny Joy, who built and ran the local library in her small Oklahoma town. Granny Joy has always been the person to step up when a neighbor needed a helping hand.
Hobbies include: time with family, pen artistry with her Husband, riding trails in her Jeep, and keeping all her plants alive!
Elected to Council in November of 2020, Vicki loves the history and diversity in Huntsville and serving the wonderful citizens.
Vicki's favorite quote is "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.: Martin Luther King Jr.
Vicki's favorite scripture is found in John 1:15 "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
