Movie Marathon in the Park

            Grab your blankets and lawn chairs and join the City of Huntsville Parks and Leisure Department for Movie Marathon in the Park! 

            The fun begins at 6:00 PM at Kate Barr Ross Park, located at 486 State Hwy 75 North, Soccer Field 6. We’ll kick off the night with Beetlejuice, followed immediately by Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. 

Enjoy an evening under the stars with back-to-back movies, fresh air, and fun for the whole family. This free event is open to the public and suitable for all ages!! The concession stand will be open! Cash and Credit Card accepted.

            Bring your favorite people and make it a movie night to remember at the park!!

Easter Bunny Pictures

The City of Huntsville Parks and Leisure Department is excited to announce the Easter Bunny is coming to town! Join us on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the New Huntsville Service Center, 448 State Highway 75 N, Huntsville, TX 77320. Upon arrival, please enter through the back door of the New Service Center Building.

Bring your family and friends to make sweet memories! Snap a selfie at our selfie station and meet the Easter Bunny!! All photos taken will be emailed the next business day! Family photos are just $5.00 per family; cash and credit cards will be accepted.

PITCH HIT & RUN

The City of Huntsville Parks and Leisure Department is proud to partner with Major League Baseball to host a local Pitch, Hit and Run competition!   Kids ages 7-14 will have the opportunity to showcase their baseball or softball skills and compete for a chance to advance through three levels of competition, including Team Championships and the Finals during MLB All-Star Week!! 

The local Pitch, Hit and Run competition will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Kate Barr Ross Park Softball Complex, 486 State Highway 75 North, on Field 7, starting at 10:00 AM.  

Participants must register online at https://www.mlb.com/pitch-hit-and-run/find-a-competition and bring their birth certificate or a copy on the day of the event to be eligible to compete.

PINEAPPLE RUN

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between the City of Huntsville Parks and Leisure Department and the Peyton Irwin Foundation! This year’s annual Pineapple Run will take place at Kate Barr Ross Park on Saturday, April 11, kicking off at 8:00 AM.

Catch this year’s Pineapple Wave and register by March 22 to secure your shirt size! The first 450 registrants will receive a commemorative shirt, medal and special swag bag! Join us for a meaningful and fun-filled morning supporting a powerful cause. Please remember: Don’t Text and Drive!
