Facilities

Station 1 opened in 2007, when it was moved from a different location. This station houses the Fire Marshal's Office, including Training Captain Tim Buhler  who is responsible for Training and Certifications.  Second Assistant Chief Thomas Gilbert is also housed at Station 1. In addition to these administrative offices, this station houses a ladder truck, a pumper, a utility vehicle, the HAZMAT response trailer, and other support units. This station is also home to the Walker County EMS Supervisor along with two staffed MICU ambulances. Walker County EMS is a separate entity and the services provided are not affiliated with the Huntsville Fire Department.
