Preschool Story Time

  • Wednesdays, Fridays at 10:45 a.m., and select Saturdays at 1 p.m.

Every Wednesday and Friday morning, Story Hour is presented for young children. This complimentary program promotes emergent reading skills for preschool-aged children. Preschool Story Hour includes:

  • Craft activity
  • Dance
  • Finger plays
  • Songs
  • Stories

Occasionally, the library will cancel Story Time in advance due to scheduling conflicts or holidays. If you would like to receive an email regarding planned cancellations for this program, please call the Library.


Mother Goose Lapsit 

Bubbles, rhymes, and books --oh my! You won’t want to miss the return of Mother Goose Lapsit at the Huntsville Public Library.  This program is a story time designed for children 2 years or under.  Enjoy this early literacy initiative at 10:45 a.m. Mondays in the Rex Children’s Room. Sign-up is not required. For more information, please contact Children’s Coordinator Linda Huff at 936-291-5910.
