InterLibrary Loans

About the Process

When Huntsville Public Library does not carry the title you are looking for, an interlibrary loan (ILL) can be arranged for you. We borrow the item from a library that does own the material, loan it to you and then return it to the lending library. This service is free to patrons in good standing who have been with our Library for more than 30 days. An Interlibrary Loan form is required for each item requested, and some restrictions do apply.

How it works

  1. To find the title you are looking for, go to Texas Group Catalog.
  2. Once you have located the title, click the request item icon on top right of locations.
  3. You will choose Huntsville Public Library in the list of libraries - to sign into your account.
  4. Enter your last name and library card number.
  5. The program will let you know if the hold was successful.
